Si el verano pasado sufrimos la fiebre por el a\u00e7a\u00ed bowl, este a\u00f1o es el turno de los asombrosos spirulina bowl.<\/p>\n<p>La <strong>espirulina<\/strong> es una microalga azul-verde que crece en los oc\u00e9anos o lagos subtropicales. Se ha consumido durante siglos debido a su alto valor nutricional y supuestos beneficios para la salud.<\/p>\n<p>La primera vez que me top\u00e9 con espirulina fue en Camboya. En el caf\u00e9 organizamos programas detox de 5 d\u00edas. No era nada como los detox de jugo que ves en estos d\u00edas. Eran comidas reales basadas en una dieta crudivegana. Serv\u00edamos chupitos de superfoods, noodles de verduras, ensaladas, pizzas, bliss balls y muchas otras deliciosas opciones.<\/p>\n<p>Para esa \u00e9poca de mi vida, no estaba muy puesta en este mundo la alimentaci\u00f3n y, aunque la comida era deliciosa, pens\u00e9 que las peque\u00f1as dosis de aceite de coco, c\u00farcuma o espirulina eran un poco raras.<\/p>\n<p>La segunda vez que me encontr\u00e9 con la espirulina estaba viendo el programa Superfoods: The Real Story. Un programa realmente genial e interesante, que investiga si las propiedades y beneficios de los superfoods son reales o no.<\/p>\n<p>Entre los que se le atribuyen a la espirulina destacan: p\u00e9rdida de peso, diabetes o regulaci\u00f3n del colesterol. Incluso se usa para los astronautas de la NASA como un ingrediente nutritivo de alta densidad. Como los productos frescos no se pueden consumir en el espacio, los astronautas tienen que complementar su dieta con superalimentos para obtener todos los nutrientes, vitaminas y minerales necesarios.<\/p>\n<p>Como de ni\u00f1a yo quer\u00eda ser astronauta, y ahora resulta que estoy en el mundo de la alimentaci\u00f3n, he decidido mezclar todos estos hechos y prepararme un batido de espirulina como tentempie. Que, por cierto, creo que estar\u00e1 entre los top ten este pr\u00f3ximo verano.<\/p>\n<p>Si nunca has probado la espirulina, tenga en cuenta que tiene un sabor a algas muy fuerte, por lo que te recomiendo comenzar con una cantidad muy peque\u00f1a. Incluso una cuarta parte de una cucharadita es suficiente, necesita reeducar su paladar para que se acostumbre a estos nuevos sabores y sensaciones.<\/p>\n<p>Y como cualquier batido, puedes personalizarlo con tus ingredientes favoritos.
