Me encanta adoptar nuevos platos, tradiciones culinarias como si fueran m\u00edas, y el porridge fue una de las primeras.<\/p>\n<p>En Espa\u00f1a no tenemos al porridge entre nuestras tradiciones culinarias. Pero desde mis a\u00f1os en Dubl\u00edn, podr\u00eda decir, las gachas de avena est\u00e1n en mi mesa todas las semanas del a\u00f1o. S\u00ed, incluso en verano, porque es un desayuno muy c\u00f3modo que me gusta tomar muy a menudo.<\/p>\n<p>No te voy a mentir, no fue amor a primera vista. Hay que admitir que el porridge, la avena cocinada en s\u00ed no es muy emocionante. Lo delicioso viene con todas las cosas que se le agregan. As\u00ed que me llev\u00f3 un tiempo hasta que decid\u00ed probarlo. No fue hasta que un compa\u00f1ero en Queen of Tarts, me lo prepar\u00f3 con compota de manzana y canela y un buen chorrito de sirope de arce y me anim\u00f3 a probarlo.<\/p>\n<h2>Beneficios nutritivos del porridge<\/h2>\n<p>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es el porridge? El porridge cl\u00e1sico est\u00e1 hecho con copos de avena. La avena contiene prote\u00ednas y \u00e1cidos grasos esenciales. Es una gran fuente de fibra soluble, un excelente prebi\u00f3tico y te ayuda a reducir el colesterol y la presi\u00f3n arterial alta. Tambi\u00e9n es ideal para diab\u00e9ticos, ya que controla los niveles de az\u00facar en sangre.<\/p>\n<p>Incluso un estudio de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsph.harvard.edu\/news\/press-releases\/more-whole-grains-linked-with-lower-mortality-risk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Harvard University <\/a>afirma que la avena, entre otros cereales integrales, es una de las claves para una vida m\u00e1s larga y saludable. Condimentarlo con canela, vainilla, nuez moscada, jengibre, clavo o cualquier otra especia que te guste.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00edrvelo con fruta fresca, compota, frutos secos, cremas de frutos secos o una mezcla de todo esto. Si necesitas endulzar un poquito m\u00e1s a\u00f1ade unos d\u00e1tiles machacados, sirope de arce o miel. Pot\u00e9ncialo con semillas de ch\u00eda, lino o cualquier otro superalimento que tengas a mano. Hay tantas posibilidades como ingredientes existen en el planeta (\u00a1hay incluso versiones saladas!)<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n hay diferentes formas de prepararlo. Dependiendo de si tienes prisa o no. Puede prepararlo la noche anterior, remojando los copos de avena durante la noche. Puedes tambi\u00e9n poner los copos de avena en un bol y verter bebida caliente, tapar y dejar unos minutos para que repose y se ablande. Por supuesto tambi\u00e9n puedes cocinarlo a fuego lento durante m\u00e1s tiempo para que quede m\u00e1s cremosa.<\/p>\n<p>Si\u00a0 quieres descubrir esta deliciosa tradici\u00f3n o ya la conoces pero quieres aprender otras formas de cocinarla.
