1. What is a cookie
A cookie is a small file that a website saves in your browser. It helps remember things (like your language) or count visits and show ads.
Cookies are regulated by article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE: I can only use non-technical cookies if you give me permission after being informed.
2. How I ask for your permission
The first time you visit, a Google message asks what you prefer. You can consent, not consent or manage options (choose one by one). The first two options carry the same weight: saying no is as easy as saying yes.
Continuing to browse does not count as accepting. Without your permission I only use technical cookies, the ones the website needs to work. Google Analytics and Google AdSense then only receive cookieless signals that do not identify you, and ads are not personalised.
3. Which cookies I use
| Cookie | From | Purpose | Type | Approx. duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| wp-wpml_current_language | This site (WPML) | Remember your language | Technical | 1 day |
| comment_author_… | This site (WordPress) | Remember your name and email if you comment and tick the box | Preferences | 1 year |
| FCCDCF, FCNEC | Google (consent message) | Store your cookie choice | Technical | 13 months |
| _ga, _ga_… | Google Analytics | Count visits and see which recipes are read most | Analytics | 2 years |
| __gads, __gpi, __eoi | Google AdSense | Show ads, avoid repeating the same one and measure results | Advertising | 6–13 months |
| IDE, test_cookie | Google (doubleclick.net) | Show personalised ads (only if you accept) | Advertising | up to 13 months |
Some external services may also store data in your browser when you use them: the MailerLite sign-up form, Jetpack statistics and the YouTube videos embedded in some recipes.
Websites change, and so do third-party services. If you find a cookie that is not on this list, email me at hola@mariallamas.com and I will check it.
4. How to change your choice
- At the bottom of every page there is a “Cookie settings” link. Open it and change your choice at any time.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. If you block all of them, some parts of the site may not work properly: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.
